現代人聽音樂的來源愈來愈多是透過網路和隨身音樂裝置，那傳統的音響大廠怎麼辦呢？Pioneer 和 Onkyo 這兩間日本傳統的音響大廠就決定將家庭劇院部門做整合，以利現代化。兩間廠商會用自家的「品牌優勢」和「先進技術」對抗新興的音樂潮流，但具體要怎麼做，卻是語焉不詳。只能說，現代人已經開始花愈來愈少的時間在客廳的昂貴影音設備前，而更多是在電腦和網路上；如果 Pioneer 和 Onkyo 不能找出符合現代需求的產品類別的話，那真的是前途有些堪憂啊！
