在 Google+ 各項服務逐漸起步的現在，負責該開發團隊的資深副總裁 Vic Gundotra 卻已經在稍早宣布離職，結束在 Google 任職 8 年的日子 -- 他也在個人的 Google+ 頁面表示：「是時候開始新的旅程了。」而根據知情匿名人士的消息指出，Gundotra 其實在消息宣布之前便已經開始面試尋找下個公司了 -- 真不知道是什麼原因才會離職啊。至於 Google+ 團隊的人事新佈局部分，根據 GigaOm 與 Re/Code 的消息指出，在該團隊擔任工程副總的 Dave Besbris 將可能接任 Gundotra 的職缺，並且這項消息也已經獲得官方的證實。總裁 Larry Page 也在 Google+ 上感謝 Gundotra 數年來的努力，並表示將會持續奮力讓 Google+ 更好，吸引更多使用者加入。
