為 Sony 近期在高階消費型相機立下不少汗馬功勞的 RX100 系列已經傳出要進行改款，而網路上一份 Sony  RX100 系列可用的外掛式握柄周邊也洩露其名稱，並非是先前所傳聞的 RX200 ，而是會稱為 RX100 Mark 3 。

且從圖片刻意把 RX100 Mark 3 安裝圖獨立說明以及圖片的特徵來看， RX100 Mark 3 雖在基本造型延續 RX100 與 RX100 Rark II 的設計，鏡頭將不再沿用等效  28-100mm F1.8-4.9 ，很可能就是先前傳聞全新的等效 28-100mm F1.8-2.8 的新設計；另外現在亦傳聞 RX100 Mark III 將具備彈出式的觀景窗設計，但這觀景窗到底是光學或是電子呢？
